inspiration: wedding

one of the reasons that i came back to the midwest this weekend was to go to a family friend's wedding. everytime i go to a wedding, i can't help but think about what my wedding will be like one day. until recently, i always imagined myself having some sort of lavish, slightly over-the-top wedding. my how things can change. now i'm leaning more towards the outdoor, diy kind of wedding that is so trendy right now. i love the simplicity of it (although really not simple at all...) and the non-traditional way of it. if you've met me, you probably know that i don't exactly like to follow tradition. it's the rebel in me. so, i thought i'd share some inspiration that i've found for my someday wedding.

i love everything about this. the rustic nature of it, the chandelier (i LOVE chandeliers in unusual places, like bathrooms and outdoors), and the draping that gives it a romantic touch.

this is beautiful too. love the strings of lights above the tables and the scenery...to die for.

these dresses? amazing. i like all different coordinating dresses. it allows the bridesmaids to express their own personal style and choose something that they are comfortable in, because who wants to wear a dress that they don't like to an event that someone is going to have photos of for the rest of their life? not me.

the color palette? perfect. these flowers are awe to the some.

and, of course, who hasn't thought of their dream wedding ring?! this i love.

i could easily spend hours and probably days finding inspiration for my dream wedding. when the day comes, i'll know exactly what i want. now i'm just waiting on mr. right!

  1. Hi! I randomly stumbled on your blog and just wanted to say hello! I'm new to the blogging world but I've been having fun "getting my feet wet"... if you will :) Anyway! Funny story... the only two blog posts I've read so far are about 1) Accounting (I'm a CPA) and 2) this wedding post (my hubs and I were married in the mountains in SoCal!) I would post a picture, but I'm not sure I can in this comment?? Haha! Anyway, hello and thanks for sharing - Best, Lauren!
