i've had a few of you ask me about my skincare routine, so i thought i'd share it!

it's really important to me to have clean & clear skin. i hate nothing more than having to put on a lot of concealer and powder to try and cover up blemishes. so i do my best to  have a strict skincare routine so that i don't have to use a lot of makeup everyday.

here's the products i use on a daily basis:

in the morning:
i use this Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub by Neutrogena in the shower. i make sure to lightly scrub my face for about 30 seconds and then rinse it off.
you can find it here.

before applying my makeup, i use one pump of mark.'s Matte Chance Mattifying Lotion all over my face. super smooth and very moisturizing.
find it here.

at night:

i use Kirkland's Daily Facial Cleansing Towelettes as my makeup remover. i buy them in bulk from Costco.

i use this Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Cream Cleanser every night after taking off my makeup.
you can find it here.

then i apply Neosporin Lip Health Overnight Renewal Therapy on my lips and it lasts all through the night.

i have pretty sensitive skin and have finally found these products that work for me. i've tried so many different brands and types, but neutrogena has worked wonders.

everyone's different, but if you're in the market for new skincare products, i recommend any of these!

what's one product you just can't live without?

  1. Will have to try the Neutrogena Foaming Scrub.. and also the Mark Matte Lotion. I can't live without my Clinique 3-step Skin Care, though. I have used it for 13 yrs, and it never fails! Although, some of it is a little more pricey, it's definately something I will continue to use.

  2. I NEED this neosporin lip stuff! My lips have been so chapped all month, and nothing I'm trying on them is working! Where do you find this? In with the chapsticks, or somewhere else? I haven't seen it around!

  3. I couldn't live without philosophy's Purity facial cleanser. Takes off makeup (including eye makeup) like a charm!

  4. I just bought a Clarisonic which was a major splurge for me, but so worth it. It really does make my skin glow!

  5. @brookem - you can find it by the chapsticks in Target!

  6. Natural Ice lip balm. Have used it for years and is now very hard to find individually in stores so I buy the 48 packs about every 2 years at ;)

  7. Those neutrogena products look very interesting, and the reviews on the site made me curious about them... I've a lot of black heads, and I use one scrub from clean and clear or something... it doesn't do much... I hope I can find it in my country.

  8. I absolutely love the Neosporin overnight lip therapy! I use it every night!!

  9. I have been wondering if the Pink Grapefruit scrubs and washes work. I will have to go to Target tomorrow and pick me up some!
    Thanks for the info (:

  10. I have sensitive skin too! I love the Neutrogena make remover wipes. They are fantastic! I also love the Burt's Bees Ginger Root and Grapefruit body wash. It's perfect for my skin. Do you get super itchy dry skin after shaving? I used to until I started with an awesome shave cream from TraderJoe's. It's in an orange tube and it's mango something. Ok, one more thing... for a clear face i always spray my face with a mixture of 12-15 drops of GSE (Grapefruit seed extracrt) and then fill the bottle (3oz pump spray) with water the rest of the way. It gets rid of the bacteria from the day and I think works better than face wash. You can get GSE from a whole foods type store.

Yay for sharing skin care secrets!
