Earth Tones

outfit deets:
Lou + Grey top | Gap pants | Coach loafers | Elisabeth Ashlie necklace | Dooney & Bourke Satchel (old) | Revlon Lip | OPI nail

wanna know an easy way to throw together an outfit? grab a couple of earth-toned things and you're done. well, okay, maybe it's not that simple, but you get the idea.

i'm finding myself putting together outfits like this - just a couple of things that go together, but don't necessarily match (except for the shoes/bag, it seems). it gives more of an effortless feel, and i like that it's opened up new possibilities for how i can style a top or pair of pants.

and, bonus, i can really blend in with the beautiful fall surroundings. i mean, who doesn't want to look like a pile of fall foliage?

happy friday!

  3. Pretty top! I find a lot of Loft runs big; does it run pretty true to size? I've been looking for a split neck top that doesn't wrinkle the minute I look at it!

    1. Haha I hear you on the wrinkling! I'm wearing the size that I typically wear, so you can see how it fits -- I'd say it's TTS!

  4. This outfit is awesome, but I think your hair is stealing the show! It looks amazing! I just started growing mine out again and you're tempting me to chop it off...

  9. This color palette has pretty much become our office uniform! It is easy to pull together and looks comfortable yet polished at the same time. Mornings can be hectic and not having to waste the time selecting an outfit makes everything so much easier! Cheers! Amy and Tori

  11. Silly question...how do you roll up your sleeves? I have a couple of silky tops like this with button cuffs and I can't get the sleeves from sliding out of the rolled up position.
