Friday Edit, No.12

Hello! Happy Friday! Happy (almost) Labor Day Weekend! YES.

I've been looking forward to this weekend, for a few reasons:

1. It's the official end of Summer, which means Autumn and Fall are juuuuust around the corner. Couldn't be happier.

2. My sister and her family are coming to the midwest for a few days, so I can't wait to spend time with them.

3. We're having a huge sale weekend over at Elisabeth Ashlie and The Dearly Box! One-time Dearly Boxes are just $25 all weekend long, plus we have a new promotion every day for the next 4 days on Elisabeth Ashlie. Today, you receive a FREE personalized initial necklace with any order over $30! (Have a friend's birthday, wedding, move, or other event coming up? Get the necklace for them!)

I was hoping for some good LDW sales at other stores, but I feel like I haven't seen/heard about much going on. I was at Nordstrom yesterday doing a return and found this athleisure top that I LOVE. But I didn't want to buy anything, in case they're having a sale. It looks like my favorite jeans from the Anniversary Sale are back on sale - this is such a good deal!

I'm working my way through The Girl On The Train and am already looking for more books to read this Fall. Who has suggestions?!

Have a happy LDW!

  1. I have not read this yet, but someone told me if you like The Girl on the Train (which I did!), you should read The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware. Also, I did read The Nest by Cynthia D'Aprix Sweeney and really liked it. Happy reading!!

  2. If you like mysteries like Girl on the Train you might like "What She Knew" by Gilly MacMillan. If it were me I would read some other books from a different genre first because it is sort of told in a similar style/format to "Girl on the Train" and I like variety. I have also heard great things about the books suggested by Chris.

  3. I just finished reading Broken Grace by E.C. Diskin. It's a pretty good one if you are looking for another thriller! I am happy to have found your blog, it's great!

  4. Anthropologie is having a 40% off their sale section this weekend!

  5. Your jewelry is so pretty! I am going to order a Dearly Box and share it on my blog :)

  6. Girl on the Train in the next book I'm going to read. I'm currently reading Cursed Child.

  7. I know this suggestion might be a bit 'tired,' but if you like(d) Girl on the Train, and if you haven't already read any of her novels before, you should try Gillian Flynn. Dark Places was the first book that got me into the dark/mystery genre. My suggestion would be to read them in the order in which they were released. They're not a series, but I just think they read the best in that order. Sharp Objects was my favorite, for what it's worth! 'Where They Found Her' by Kimberly McCreight is next on my list from the library!

  8. The game controls are shown just under . Movement mechanisms primarily include acceleration and tilting controls.
