Friday Edit, No.14

Happy Friday!

I've been anxiously awaiting the arrival of this weekend, as some of my middle school friends and I are heading up to Wisconsin for a little girls weekend! I'm so looking forward to a couple days away with them.

That beauty up there is my new Fall bag! If you follow me on snap, you know that I was debating between this one and that one. I was going back and forth between which size I would use more, and ultimately figured that bigger is better. Plus, I like that this one can double as an everyday bag or a tote/travel bag.

I'm an incredibly light sleeper and rarely, rarely sleep through the night. Between Milo, internal temperature changes, or even the tiniest little sound, I typically wake up a few times every night. Which, as you can imagine, causes me to be pretty tired during the day. I've been using Lavender essential oil on the bottom's of my feet and have slept so well this week! It has a similar effect as Melatonin, but without the crazy dreams that I have when I take Melatonin before bed. For anyone else who has trouble sleeping, you should try it! (and that concludes my knowledge of essential oils -- I only diffuse lavender and an orange one, or use lavender at night!)

For you TV watchers, did anyone else watch the premiere of, This Is Us? I think it's going to be similar to Parenthood/Brothers & Sisters and I cannot wait. I love when the new shows premiere this time of year!

I popped into Old Navy yesterday and picked up this cozy sweatshirt that I plan on living in this season.

Hope you have a great weekend!

  1. I'm sure you have already considered this, but maybe a white noise sound machine would help? It took me some time to get used to it, but now I can't sleep without it! (I use an iPhone app when I travel - maybe start with that?)

  2. Absolutely adored the premiere of 'This is Us'! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on it!

  3. This is such a beautiful tote. I've found a few beautiful Fall bags with the Australian brand Elk Accessories.

  4. Lavender on the bottom of the feet...I may have to try that. When I'm sick, I do the Vicks on the bottom of my feet but never thought about oils. Maybe instead of Vicks when I'm sick, I could do peppermint. Ohhh...
